LOOKING FOR SEAN’S FATHER

A Novel for Young Adults
Two young detectives search for Sean’s father when they discover he has never known who his father is.
Sean is living with his dysfunctional mother and has leukemia. Jim drives Sean to his doctor and learns that Sean is struggling to keep up with his schooling. Jim and David decide they will help Sean, and thus begins their journey.
The boys need all their skills to overcome the obstacles thrown at them by adults who should be helping. Their efforts win out in the end, and Sean is able to join his father.

WHAT SOME READERS SAY

The author certainly knows teenagers and their language. The story moves well and the characters are well developed. But it is not only the skill of the author that keeps me reading, it is the story and the struggle to find information hidden by agencies that withhold what they know. —J. Hermann Ed.D.

My class (7th grade) read this book with enthusiasm. I would recommend this book for any children but especially for those who do not like to read. —F. Wilson

We used this book as an English lesson because it is written to be read so easily. The Ninth Graders loved the story, and I believe they learned a lot about writing clear, simple prose. This is not say that we did not find some beautiful passages, and some real emotion in the story. —Claudia Montgomery
